Antioch Police Department Welcomes Officer Calvin Prieto

On November 5th Officer Calvin Prieto was sworn in as our 99th police officer. Calvin is a former Marine who decided to become a police officer and serve his community after his service to our county. Calvin was initially hired by the Alameda County Sheriff Department where he served for two years before leaving to work for the San Leandro Police Department where he served four years. Antioch High students were treated to a special presentation on Nov. 5. Antioch Police officers Kevin Tjahjadi and Kyle Smith brought their K9 partners (Kaia and Kona) to the after-school program’s Animal CARE Club. Officers Tjahjadi and Smith shared info about their careers and life with their furry work – and home – companions.
