On May 17th, Police Department staff gave a presentation to Rotary on the Antioch Police Explorer Program and the positive impact it has had with the youth in our community. The program is designed for young women and men with interest in law enforcement. It focuses on civic duty, discipline, and develops leadership qualities in our youth. Captain Diane Aguinaga of Antioch Police Department Retires after 27 Years of Service After 27 years of distinguished law enforcement service, Captain Diane Aguinaga will retire on May 4th, 2018. Captain Aguinaga started her career with the Contra Costa Sheriff’s Office in 1991, and was hired by the Antioch Police Department in 1993. Later Officer Nicholas Shipilove On April 2nd Antioch Police Department welcomed lateral officer, Nicholas Shipilov. Nick was born and raised in San Jose, CA, and attended San Jose University. There, he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice. Nick then attended the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office academy and graduated in 2006.
