Becoming a lifeguard at the Antioch Water Park is a perfect job for high school and college students.
Let’s face it . . . navigating the job market can be tough when someone is just starting out. Being a lifeguard gives you skills that other professionals and hiring managers like to see in potential employees. Teamwork, Self Confidence, Communication and Leadership are all vital skills that are learned through life experience. Lifeguards have a jump on their competition when it comes to possessing these skills.
In order to be considered for a Lifeguard position at the Antioch Water Park, candidates must be certified as an American Red Cross Lifeguard. The City of Antioch offers these certification courses throughout the winter and spring. The first opportunity to become certified will be the week of January 2nd. - When is the course offered? The American Red Cross Lifeguard certification class is offered during the Winter and Spring.
- Why should I take the course now? Taking the class early gives you the FIRST opportunity to apply for a position for the coming summer.
- All participants must be 15 years old by the last day of the class.

The Antioch Water Park will begin accepting applications for the 2018 summer season on Tuesday, January 2, 2018. Applications can be printed from our website by clicking here or picked up from the Antioch Community Center. Applications can be delivered in person to the Antioch Community Center front desk.
