Antioch Home Ownership Program (AHOP) Launching

The Antioch Home Ownership Program (AHOP) is launching this month with up to $45,000 in subsidies for qualifying households. The City has contracted with the Bay Area Affordable Homeownership Alliance (BAAHA) to administer this new program, which is funded with Housing Successor Administration funds. AHOP is a community collaborative effort to expand homeownership in Antioch and involves City government, non-profit and for-profit partners, businesses, civic organizations, homebuyers, homeowners, real estate professionals, and the Antioch community. The program offers a significant free benefit to lower-income people who rent or work in Antioch, to help make their dreams of owning a home come true.

Next week, BAAHA is conducting the first AHOP Employer Forum for businesses with 20+ employees. The forum will explain the program and how employers can become involved and promote AHOP to their employees. The official AHOP Launch event for Antioch residents and people working in the city will be Saturday, March 24th from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM at the Antioch City Council Chambers located at 200 H Street. All interested parties are invited to attend and learn more about the program, meet organizers and partners, and find out how to make homeownership dreams a reality. A reservation to attend this free event is required and can be made at www.myhomegateway.org/AHOP. In addition to attending the event, you can learn more about AHOP by visiting www.myhomegateway.org/AHOP or by contacting [email protected]
