Lieutenant Tarra Mendes, Councilwoman Monica Wilson, Councilwomen Lori Ogorchock, Environmental Resource Coordinator Julie Haas-Wajdowicz, Explorers Haley Gomez, and Jahlaya Tidwell, along with other local women leaders attended the Day of Empowering Girls event on Tuesday October 16th. AOTM - Day of Empowering Girls

Featuring some 600 8th grade girls, this event was sparked by the Antioch Rotary Club’s sponsorship of “The Empowerment Project” documentary for the past two years. This collaborative workshop brings together Antioch, Black Diamond, Dallas Ranch, Orchard Park, and Park middle schools, along with charter and private schools in Antioch.
