Antioch Drop-off Boxes and Polling Places

Drop-Off Boxes Return to
Contra Costa City Halls for the
NOVEMBER 6TH GENERAL ELECTION

(October 16 – November 6, 2018)

Residents can save postage and time with this vote-by-mail program

Contra Costa residents will find it easier to vote in the upcoming November 6th General Election, as the Contra Costa Elections Office and City Clerks countywide are providing convenient Vote By Mail drop off locations, prior to and on Election Day. The secure drop-off boxes will be in place at Contra Costa city halls, the county Administration Building in Martinez and some select community centers and libraries, starting the week of October 16 – just days after voters receive their permanent vote-by-mail ballots.

A full list of drop-box locations is available at https://www.cocovote.us/ballot-drop-off/.

The City of Antioch’s drop off box is located at City Hall, Clerk’s Office (1st Floor), 200 ‘H’ Street, Antioch, CA. The distinguishable red boxes will be available during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Postage is not required with the drop-off box service.

Contra Costa voters can drop their ballot at any location, regardless of where they live. Staff members will have the Contra Costa County’s new and always-popular “I Voted” stickers available for those who drop off their ballots.
“We are excited to work with our city and community partners along with the Contra Costa County Library to be able to offer voters this opportunity,” said Joe Canciamilla, Contra Costa Registrar of Voters. “We urge voters to take advantage of this service.”

Ballots must be postmarked on or before November 6th. Ballots may also be dropped off between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm at the Contra Costa Elections Office in Martinez, located at 555 Escobar Street, or at any polling place on Election Day. For more information about voting by mail, call 925-335-7800 or visit the Elections Office website at www.cocovote.us.

VOTE EARLY IN PERSON

The Antioch Community Center is one of 3 locations in Contra Costa County where voters can vote early.  If voters work out of town, they can come vote  early.  Individuals that work in Antioch but live in another area of Contra Costa County can vote early.

All registered voters in Contra Costa County have the opportunity to vote early if they need to do so.  A complete precinct is opened up during the early voting time frame.

  • Thursday, Friday, Monday 11-7
  • Saturday, 8-5

A drop box is also available for mail-in ballots for anyone who cannot get to City Hall before Tuesday.

What to expect:

Just like Election Day, it helps to come prepared. Bring your sample ballot or Voter Information Guide to help you make your selections.

When you arrive, give your full name to the staff at the sign in table. No matter where you are in the county you will receive an official ballot for your residence address.

Proceed to a voting booth and mark your ballot. Each Early Voting site has an accessible ballot-marking device. When you finish, seal and sign the envelope and place it in the ballot box. That’s it! Make sure to take your “I Voted” sticker and wear it proudly.
