Antioch on the move - MLK Day of Service

Each year, on the third Monday in January, the MLK Day of Service is observed as a “DAY ON, NOT A DAY OFF.” MLK Day of Service is intended to empower individuals, strengthen communities, bridge barriers, create solutions to social problems, and move us closer to Dr. King’s vision of a “Beloved Community.”

The City of Antioch would like to invite Antioch residents to take pride in your community. Help us uplift Antioch and join your friends & family for a day of service.  We have three volunteer opportunities to choose from:

Monday January 21, 2019 from 9:00am – 12:00pm

  1. Graffiti Removal & Mural Preparation at Sunset Drive & A Street
  2. Dead Tree Removal & Landscape Improvements at Nick Rodriguez Community Center/Antioch Senior Center 3rd & F Streets
  3. Litter Pick-Up at Prewett Community Park; Drop-in, no registration required, kid, family & youth group friendly

*Please bring your work gloves, other tools will be provided.

We hope to see you Monday!
