The Antioch Marina won first place in the Best Public Launch Ramp category. This dual-lane launch ramp with a separate small boat launch for kayaks and other non-motorized boats are available to residents and visitors to the Delta. In keeping with the Marina’s motto of “Best Deal on the Delta”, boaters can launch for five dollars, or purchase a yearly pass at the Marina office for $100. From the marina, visitors can walk to the Dow Wetlands Preserve. With over seven miles of trails through a variety of ecosystems, the Wetlands provide a lot of opportunities to enjoy nature in Antioch. The Dow Wetlands received Best of the Delta awards in the categories of Best Trail and Best Bird Watching.
The nearby Antioch Historical Museum was also honored by Best of the Delta, receiving a runner-up award in the museum category. The museum offers visitors a trip back in time to Antioch’s past and features displays about the City’s riverfront heritage.
