The Third Murder (Japan) International Film Showcase

The Third Murder: Misumi has a criminal record dating back many years, and is now under the spotlight again in a murder trial where he has confessed to a new charge, and where he may face the death penalty if found guilty. Enter prominent lawyer Tomoaki Shigemori, who is tasked with defending Misumi. But evidence in the case leads Shigemori to having doubts about what really happened, and Misumi’s possible innocence. The Third Murder won six major awards in March at the 41st Annual Japan Academy Prize including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Film Editing, Best Supporting Actress and Best Supporting Actor
