Multivendor fundraising event to benefit Rachel and Isla

We will have several different vendors at this event and lots of raffle prizes. We will also have snacks and lunches to purchase, all to benefit a wonderful local family.

Rachel is a wonderful local speech therapist and has a beautiful baby girl, Isla. Isla was born with the rarest form of dwarfism. It affects her growth in her midsection. Her ribs and sternum are not growing as the rest of her advances and causes several, potentially life ending suffocation. She has already undergone several surgeries and there will be many many more. Her prognosis is not known as there has only been 2 other children born with this. The surgeries are long and painful (she is only 1) and involve added metal to her ribs to force them to move and expand to accommodate her growing internal organs. She has had to have a tracheotomy to help with her breathing.

The only hospital who can and will perform these surgeries is in Philadelphia. That means Rachel and Isla have many weeks away from the Bay Area, away from work and away from her support system. It is heartbreaking and expensive. We are trying to help raise funds so Rachel can stress a bit less and spend as much time as she can with her baby girl. We appreciate you all helping to raise these much needed funds!! Thank you again!!
