Our April Friday Night Spotlights series concludes with a presentation from the voted Best Local Band of Brentwood for the last three years: Stepback! Join us for this celebration of some of the best young and local talent from East County!
ABOUT THE ARTISTS:
Stepback is a rock band of local Brentwood high school students that consists of Alex Medina (Guitar), Arabella Garcia (Guitar), Halli Boisvert (Bass Guitar), Amelia Bullington (Drums) and Lead Singer Ashleigh Kennealy (DVC Student) Stepback started as an 8th grade enrichment class at Adam’s Middle School in March of 2017. They have progressed as musicians and young adults, and are a regular act at The Dell’Osso Family Farms Fall Festival in Lathrop, The Walnut Festival in Walnut Creek, and The Streets of Brentwood concert series. They have also played at Petersen Vineyards, The Downtown Brentwood Park, and The St Anne’s Fall Festival and many other places. Stepback took 1st place in “A Brighter Days” 2019 Battle of the Bands competition in Lafayette, California. Stepback has had many different articles about them in local newspapers including The Contra Costa Times, and The Oakland Tribune with the Bay Area News group. The Brentwood Press, and the people of Brentwood voted Stepback as “The Best Local Band” 3 years in a row for 2019, 2020, and 2021!
