Deer Valley High School Students Received Over 1.9 Million in Scholarships

We are excited to share, Deer Valley High School students in total received Β over 1.9 million in scholarships during the UCAN Historically Black Colleges and University Recruitment Fair! Additionally, 58 students were offered acceptance letters “on-the-spot”, while several students received full-ride offers. Β We will share information from Dozier Libbey and Antioch High School once it is all tallied

The Historically Black Colleges and University Recruitment Fair was held earlier this week at Deer Valley High School. Students from neighboring districts such as Liberty, Pittsburg andΒ Modesto joined our Antioch students at this event geared towards graduating Seniors. Β

The HBCU fair offered students face-to-face connections with representatives from the country’s leading Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) with “on-the-spot” admissions. It also offers a jumpstart on their college ambitions making the dream of going to college more of a reality. The HBCU fair offered students with tools necessary to succeed in higher education, personal advise and information on financial resources. Students and parents were also able to start the financial aid and scholarship process at the fair.
